Sean Maye is an Associate at Isriel Ponzoli. He focuses on civil and commercial litigation, as well as criminal defense.
Sean is a former Assistant Public Defender with the 11th Judicial Circuit Court of Miami-Dade County . As a former Public Defender, he has a significant amount of trial experience, having successfully litigated multiple cases to verdict. Prior to his time with the Public Defender, Sean also gained a wealth of experience interning for various Circuit Court judges in Miami and San Francisco, as well as participating in an executive policy internship with Miami-Dade Public Defender, Carlos J. Martinez.
Sean graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2014, where he received numerous awards and recognitions. He was on the Dean’s list and received the C.A.L.I. Award for Excellence in Writing and & Advocacy. He was also the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Student Bar Association, a member of the Society of Bar and Gavel, and a national competitor on the Charles C. Papy Moot Court Board.
Sean also graduated from Middlebury College in 2011, where he studied Neuroscience, and learned to speak Spanish, Italian and Hebrew. While at Middlebury, he was also on the Dean’s List and was a College Scholar.
