Ilayda Atar attended the University of Western Ontario, in Canada, where she graduated with a B.A. in Economics. She then received her Juris Doctorate from Florida International University College of Law, graduating in 2023.
During her time in law school, Ilayda dedicated her efforts to the Balanced Justice Project, where she played a crucial role in helping individuals facing capital punishment by assisting with their mitigation investigations. Ilayda was also an active member on FIU’s Moot Court team, participating in the Billings, Exum, & Frye National Moot Court Competition, where she and her team became semi-finalists.
Ilayda knows three languages: English, Turkish, and German. In her free time, Ilayda enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and her dogs.
